Change
Earlier this week, I switched over from a Windows laptop to a Mac. While this might not sound too bad, it was embarassingly stressful. Not only did I have to deal with copying over the files from my previous laptop, but I also had to get used to a completely new user interface. And although I did get used to it pretty quickly, it reminded me how tough change can be. When we're faced with something new and unfamiliar, it can be scary and overwhelming. But change can also be incredibly exciting and rewarding.
One of the hardest things about change is letting go of the familiar. We all have our routines and habits that make us feel safe and comfortable. But when we're forced to step out of our comfort zone, it can be intimidating and overwhelming. Another challenge of change is dealing with the unknown. We can't always predict how things will turn out, and that uncertainty can be unsettling. In "Roselily," the protagonist also deals with the challenges regarding change. She doesn't know what her future in the North holds for her: it could be the key to her freedom, or it could confine her within the walls of her house even more. This uncertainty highlights how no one can possibly know what life has in store for you.
At the end of the day, change isn't always easy, but it's usually worth it. Change can be scary, but it can also be exciting and enriching. So next time you're faced with a big change in your life, you should be positive and open-minded. Try to embrace the unknown, and don't be afraid to step out of your comfort zone. You never know what amazing things might be waiting for you on the other side of change.
